OUR BUSINESS - PROJECT

Misato
Project

Project Overview

This project involved town planning around the Misato Interchange in Saitama Prefecture.

At first, the site for replotting had not been determined. And since it was still classified as agricultural land, we couldn’t fund the project through indirect financing. We were racking our brains trying to figure out how to get the funds to purchase the property.

However, the area is a nexus for the Jōban, Gaikan, and Shuto Expressways, so we believed that it would occupy a unique position within Japan as a site for logistical facilities after development was complete. We therefore launched the project in collaboration with a major foreign financial institution. A total of about ¥5 billion was borrowed and invested, and after negotiating the site designation for replotting and converting it from agricultural use, we sold the property in just under a year.
